Classes
Want to learn how to safely and effectively shoot a bow and arrow?
ECIA partners with Hunter's Haven and the Urbana Park District to provide our community with Archery Classes.
Each class will teach you the etiquette that is required to safely handle and use the archery equipment, as well as the physical and mental techniques to effectively shoot a target.
Classes are provided throughout the year and do require registration.
2026 Winter Youth Archery Classes
Sundays, January 4th-February 15 No Class on January 18th
All participants MUST preregister.

Instructional Beginners Class
for ages 8-18
1:00pm-2:00pm
The Beginners Class is geared towards students that have little experience in Archery. Students will be educated on archery safety and etiquette as well as given the opportunity to learn of and use multiple styles of bows.
Class size is limited to 10.
There is no charge for this class since it is hosted by ECIA archery club.
All participants MUST preregister.
Intermediate Class
for age 8-18
2:00pm-3:00pm
The intermediate class is geared towards students that have had experience in Archery and want a greater challenge. It is also open to archers that are on the ECIA S3DA archery team. The focus will be getting ready for 3-D archery in the spring.
Class size is limited to 10 students.
There will be consultation available for those students that want to obtain their own equipment.
All participants MUST preregister.
